Two short books, both free.
Bo Bennett runs Archieboy Holdings, the company behind PrivateChief, with AI agents and no staff, and his family has handed much of its household's remembering to an AI agent of its own. He wrote one short book about each, with the mistakes left in.
The ebook and the audiobook of both are free here. There is no sign-up and no email address to give: choose a format and it downloads. The paperback is priced as low as the printer allows.
The Household Chief
What Happened When Our Family Handed Its Mental Load to an AI Agent
A true, unglamorous account of four months with an AI chief of staff in a real family home, with the failures left in and one thing to try at the end of every chapter.
Inside
- What an AI agent can genuinely take off your plate, and the five household jobs that should stay with people
- How to hand off an errand so it actually gets done, and when to tell it to stop
- Why a button beats a clever sensor, and why you should always ask how old an answer is
- Privacy in a house full of people: whose words go where
- Three honest routes to a household chief of your own, including doing it yourself

Only Human
How I Run a 45-Website Company with AI Agents and No Staff
What one person and a team of AI agents actually do every day to run a 45-website company: the services we stopped buying, the rules that keep it safe, the mistakes, and the parts that still need a human.
Inside
- Everything we used to buy from freelancers and vendors, and why every tool we built to replace them became a product
- A front desk that never closes, and the rules that stop a polite AI from agreeing to anything
- An engineering department that fits in a queue: 1,752 tickets, 89 percent closed by agents
- The three rules that turned a flood of questions into a few one-line decisions
- When the agents got it wrong, including a number in this very book
- What stays human, and how to start with one job in your own business

Try what the books describe.
PrivateChief is the service both books describe from the inside: an AI chief of staff for a household and for each business, set up and looked after by engineers. None of these four asks you to buy anything.

About my household About my businessWhat it costs, and who it is for.
A PrivateChief membership is $199 a month, with a one-time $299 setup. One membership covers a household and any number of businesses, each in its own separate workspace, on a dedicated server we host, patch, monitor and back up. No equipment is required. The AI capacity your Chief uses is billed separately, through your own OpenAI account or bought through us at cost plus 30 percent. If you cancel before your Chief goes live, the $299 comes back; within 30 days of go-live, the $299 and the first month do (metered AI use is not refunded). Full pricing.
Both books say this too: for one person's own inbox and calendar, a general AI assistant may be all you need. A Chief earns its keep when a household or a business has more moving parts than one person wants to carry, and you would rather someone else looked after it.
$299 setup today; the $199 monthly membership starts only on the day your Chief is live.
