PrivateChief
$199 / month
One membership is $199 a month for your household and any number of businesses, each in its own workspace, on one dedicated server we host. Setup is a fixed $299, once, and no equipment is required. Wall units and a Home Assistant box for home control are optional equipment you buy directly; any in-person setup is quoted first.
AI usage is separate: bring your own OpenAI account, or use capacity we supply at our cost plus 30%. Metered voice is billed at cost plus 30% either way. No annual commitment or cancellation fee.
A monthly service fee and an installed-system quote measure different things. Compare the complete first-year cost and the ongoing responsibilities before drawing a savings conclusion.
Before you choose.
Is PrivateChief a drop-in Josh.ai replacement?
No. We assess the existing system and the work you want done before proposing a setup. Do not remove a working control system on the assumption that every integration transfers.
Can I keep my current integrator?
Bring your integrator into the consultation if you wish. We can discuss responsibilities and supported devices together. This page does not claim a direct Josh.ai integration.
Which is more private?
Both publish privacy commitments. Josh describes local processing on Josh Core alongside cloud services; PrivateChief keeps the household record on a dedicated server we host for you, with device control on an optional Home Assistant box in your house.
