Your Personal & Household Chief of Staff

One Chief for your home — and everything life asks of you.

Private Chief gives your family a calm, capable personal assistant you simply talk to. It manages calendars, follows projects through, researches and books what you need, communicates on your behalf, and coordinates the household.

It runs on a dedicated server we host and look after, so there is nothing to install. Add wall units or a Home Assistant box for home control whenever you like. Either way, we prepare it and care for it for you.

30-day money-back: cancel within 30 days of the day your Chief goes live and we refund the $299 setup and your first month.

Try it: forward one email to forward@privatechief.com — a contractor quote, a school notice, an insurance renewal. Within minutes Alfred replies with what is being asked, the deadline, what to do next and a draft answer. Alfred replies only to you, never to anyone in the thread, deletes your email after seven days, and never adds you to a list.

✓ Gets personal work done

✓ Nothing to install

One membership · $199 a month

Start with the assistant. Add the home when you want it.

Your membership is $199 a month, with a one-time $299 setup. It covers your household and any businesses you run, each in its own workspace. Wall units and home control are optional extras you can add at any time.

Included · $299 setup, once

A complete personal assistant with nothing to install

Use your Chief through the apps for calendars, reminders, projects, research, bookings, communications, documents, Personal Books, briefings, connected accounts, and family coordination. We run its dedicated server, monitor it, update it, and keep encrypted backups.

Run a business too? It gets its own separate workspace and Business Chief on the same server, at no extra membership cost.

Optional · equipment you buy

The assistant, plus the home itself

Add a wall unit in the rooms you choose for hands-free conversation, and a small Home Assistant box on your home network so your Chief can run compatible lights, climate, locks, scenes, and entertainment. Your household record stays on your dedicated server; the box looks after the devices in the house. See the equipment.

A home full of “smart” devices that aren’t, together, smart

You have calendars, inboxes, apps, lists, and smart devices. None of them holds the whole picture.

The calendar does not know about the contractor. The shopping list does not know about the dinner. The smart home does not know who is speaking. So family life still runs on sticky notes, group texts, and one person holding everything in their head. Private Chief replaces that fragmentation with one intelligent presence that knows the people, the plans, and the home.

The Smart-Home Trap

The smart home was supposed to make life simpler. Instead, it handed you homework.

Every gadget you bought came with its own app, its own account, its own updates — and its own way of breaking. The promise was convenience. The reality is a second job managing the very things that were meant to help.

Private Chief makes the whole pile disappear behind a single voice.

01

A dozen apps, a dozen logins

Every device arrived with its own app, account, and endless updates. Your phone is a graveyard of them — and half still won’t talk to each other.

02

Names no human remembers

“Front Bulb 3.” “Kitchen Plug B.” “Hue Lamp 0xA4.” You bought the lights — now you have to memorize a database just to turn them on.

03

Rules only their author understands

Scenes, routines, and if-this-then-that schedules that take a weekend to build, break the moment anything changes, and that no one else in the house can touch.

We bring it together. You stop managing systems — and simply talk to your Private Chief.

No app switching. No cryptic device names. No wondering where a request went. You say what you need the way you would say it to a person, and your Chief handles it, tracks it, or tells you exactly what it needs next.

What Private Chief Actually Is

A household intelligence that holds the whole picture — and you simply talk to it.

Private Chief is a warm, conversational presence on every family member’s phone and Mac, and on the wall in the rooms you choose, with a name and personality your family chooses. Say its name and talk the way you would to a trusted house manager — interrupt it, change your mind, ask a follow-up. It listens, understands, remembers, and acts.

Knows Your Family

Every member by name — their routines, preferences, and the small details that make a household feel cared for.

Runs Your Home

With the optional Home Assistant box: lights, climate, scenes, and the devices you already own — orchestrated by a single sentence, in plain language.

Never Forgets

A living memory of your household — from appliance models to standing reminders — always there when you need it.

What It Does

The reach of a personal assistant. The awareness of a house manager.

Plans the day

Apple and Google calendars, reminders, alarms, departure timing, tasks, and a morning briefing that knows what actually needs attention.

Owns the follow-through

Give it a project in one sentence. It researches, contacts people, schedules follow-ups, and brings decisions back by text or email.

Communicates for you

With your approval, it can draft and send email or text, place calls, make announcements, and keep the result attached to the original request.

Runs the home you have

With the optional Home Assistant box: lights, climate, scenes, music, cameras, announcements, and natural-language automations — without memorizing device names.

Remembers the important things

Household documents, appliance details, decisions, preferences, shared accounts, and each member’s private connected accounts.

Works wherever you are

Use iPhone, Android or Mac, add guided Apple Watch access during onboarding, or talk at a wall unit in the rooms where you add one.

Where a private chief earns its keep

“What’s the model of our water heater?” — answered instantly, because it cataloged your home on day one.

“Add almond milk to the list.” — done, hands full, from across the kitchen.

“Set the house for movie night.” — lights, climate, and the room, in one sentence.

“Remind Annabelle about her recital Thursday.” — remembered, and surfaced at exactly the right moment.

“Not a gadget. A member of the household.”

Private Chief
Why this isn’t just another smart speaker

You’ve tried the others. This is the one that knows your home.

vs. Alexa & Google

They take commands and forget you

One instruction at a time, no memory, no real conversation. Private Chief holds a genuine back-and-forth and remembers your household for good.

vs. The ChatGPT app

It serves one person, not the household

Capable, and now able to read your email and calendar — but it serves one person on one account. Private Chief serves the whole family, each member with their own privacy, and with optional wall units it is in the rooms you choose, hands-free.

vs. DIY smart home

A weekend project that never ends

Endless apps, hubs, and broken automations. Private Chief is designed, set up, and cared for — done for you, kept running by real people.

How It Works

Concierge from the first conversation. Nothing for you to set up.

Private Chief is a done-for-you service, not a box on your doorstep. We handle the design, the setup, and the ongoing care — your only job is to talk to it.

Privacy

Your household record has a home: your own server.

Your Private Chief runs on a server dedicated to you, which we host in a PrivateChief-controlled United States cloud account and patch, monitor, and back up. The working record that makes it yours — enrolled face and voice references, memories, preferences, routines, documents, and your model of the home — lives there, not in a pool shared with other customers. Limited information leaves only when a connected service is needed to complete your request.

The result isn’t just a smarter home. It’s a home you can trust.

FAQ

Common questions, answered plainly.

Enough to help you decide whether Private Chief is right for your home — without the noise of a typical sales page.

No. Private Chief holds a genuine conversation, retains household context, tracks work beyond one exchange, and follows it through. With the optional Home Assistant box, it can also run compatible home systems.
No. Your Chief runs on a dedicated server we host, with no PrivateChief equipment in the house. If you would like wall units or home control, you buy the equipment directly and we connect it to your Chief, onboard your family, and care for the system over time.
The working household record lives on your dedicated server in a PrivateChief-controlled United States cloud account, kept apart from every other customer. If you add a Home Assistant box, your home devices and their settings are managed on that box in your house. Limited information may be processed by contracted services when a request needs it. Personal data is not sold or used to build advertising profiles.
In most cases, yes, with the optional Home Assistant box. It runs a private Home Assistant instance in your home, which reaches devices across Matter, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread and Wi-Fi — including Control4 and Lutron systems — and your Chief works through it. Some device types need a small adapter, which we identify before you buy anything. Part of setup is connecting your existing lights, thermostats, locks, and scenes so you can run them all by simply talking.
