Getting Started

From first conversation to a home that knows you.

A Private Chief installation is done entirely with you at home — no strangers walking your halls, no week of contractors. Your system is prepared by us, delivered ready, and brought to life together on a video call. There are two ways to begin.

White GloveAvailable Now
We handle everything that can be handled before a box ever reaches your door. Your equipment comes to our workshop first — assembled, configured as your home, and tested with your Chief answering by name — then ships to you ready to plug in. Your part on delivery day: two cables and a picture hook.

For households comfortable assembling their own equipment. Everything ships directly to you; we send a System Card with your home already prepared on it, plus mounts and an illustrated quick-start. You put the pieces together, and we bring it to life with you on a guided call.
White Glove

Six steps, most of them ours.

1
Private consultation & home surveyTogether
A relaxed video call. We talk through your rooms, the devices and brands you already own, and who lives in the house. You choose your Chief — the name and voice your family will live with — and we note the practical details (where your router lives, which rooms get a touchscreen).
2
One shopping call, your ownershipTogether
We place the equipment order together, on your card, so every warranty is in your name and the hardware is yours outright. It ships to our workshop instead of your doorstep — that's the whole trick of White Glove.
3
We prepare your home on our benchUs
Your server is assembled, brought fully up to date, and loaded with your household's configuration. Then we test it as your actual home — your Chief, answering to the name you chose — before anything ships. The touchscreens arrive already set up in their wall frames.
4
PlacementYou
The server takes two cables: one to your router, one to power. The touchscreens hang like small picture frames — a paper template marks the holes. Ten minutes, no tools beyond a screwdriver.
5
Installation day, togetherTogether · about an hour
One scheduled video call. We connect your lights, climate, and entertainment while you press the occasional button. Then the good part: the family is introduced — your Chief learns each face and voice — and you walk the house talking to it. You'll leave the call already using it.
6
The first weekUs
We watch how your home is settling in, make a quiet tuning pass around day three, and check in with the family at the end of the week. After that, it's simply concierge care — your Chief files anything it can't do, and our engineers handle it remotely.

The DIY path suits households with a resident tinkerer. It isn't harder — just more hands-on. Here's how it will work.

1

Rooms, devices, family, and your choice of Chief — identical to White Glove.
2
You order the equipmentYou
From our curated equipment list — exact items, live retailer links, shipped straight to you.
3
Your Setup Kit ships from usUs
The System Card — your home already prepared on it — plus wall mounts for the touchscreens and an illustrated quick-start guide.
4
AssemblyYou · about 15 minutes
Insert the System Card, connect the server to your router and to power. It introduces itself to us automatically, and we confirm everything looks right from our side before your call.
5
Install partyTogether · about two hours
A guided video call: the touchscreens set themselves up from a code we send, we connect your devices, and the family introductions and first walk-through happen just like White Glove.
6
The same first weekUs
Daily attention, a day-three tuning pass, and a family check-in at the end of the week.
Begin

Every installation starts with a conversation.

Book a private consultation and we'll walk your home together — what you have, what you'd change, and which of your family's names your Chief will answer to.
